Wild Horse Productions, a non-profit organization, was formed to enhance and enrich our community through performing arts classes, high quality live theater, Outreach programs in the community, and other educational programs in the theatrical arts.
Our children's theater program, Wild Horse Children's Theater, was formed to create extraordinary theater experiences "by children - for children" that educate, challenge, and inspire young people. Our program brings together children of all ages, social, economic, and cultural backgrounds in a safe, supportive and encouraging environment. Participation in our theatrical productions are free and open to the public and no prior theatrical experience is necessary. We are continuously striving to set the standard and raise the bar by providing exceptional theatrical and educational experiences that touch hearts and transform lives of young people and their families.
We are thrilled to call the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada "home". This historic building was the old Civic Auditorium and we are proud to be performing on the same stage that John F. Kennedy spoke from during his campaign for President.
Our Executive Director is Carol Scott, who returns to Carson City after a five-year absence. Carol was founder and Artistic Director of two successful children's theatre companies: BAC Stage Kids at the Brewery Arts Center and Little Tomato Children's Theatre in Ontario, Canada.
Our Producer is Pat Josten. Pat took over the reigns as Program Director of BAC Stage Kids after Carol left and ran the theater program for the past 6 years. Pat is also the recipient of the National Jefferson Award for her work with BAC Stage Kids. Check out our "Who's Who In Wild Horse" section for more information about our directors and instructors.
We believe that theater arts, fun, and education must work hand-in-hand to cultivate young minds.
