Jump Around Carson, JAC, is Carson City, Nevada's public transit system serving the community with a fleet of bright green buses that feature a sleek, hopping jackrabbit (a Northern Nevada icon). JAC buses began operating in October 2005 and is governed by the Regional Transportation Commission of Carson City. The JAC system features the JAC fixed route system as well as JAC Assist, a dial-a-ride program that provides transportation for individuals with disabilities.
Ridership continues to grow as residents discover the convenience and value of the bus system for going to school, work, shopping, appointments and recreational outings. Strategically placed stops throughout the community make it easy for passengers to conveniently visit a number of the city's most popular destinations. Passes are available for only $1 each way, and seniors are offered a discounted rate of only $.50 each way.
