Carson City is a consolidated municipality with a Board of Supervisors/City Manager form of government. The Mayor and Supervisors make policy decisions which the City Manager and her staff implement. The Mayor and Supervisors, who are elected for staggered four year terms, meet the first and third Thursdays of each month at 8:30 a.m. at the Sierra Room of the Carson City Community Center (851 East William Street).
